OUR VISION

We’re a non-profit project built in rural Newfoundland to empower youth through cycling adventures. We focus on leadership, personal growth, and an active life outdoors. We believe biking builds confidence and develops social skills, particularly when young kids are discovering new things together as their worlds quickly expand.

  • In 2008 Andy had an idea. He saw the need in rural Newfoundland to get kids moving, off the couch, and connecting with one another. He combined his love for all things outdoors and biking with his teaching background: he saw a future where youth in our region had more opportunities to grow and learn. Working with Pam and Jody, both active in the Glovertown region and experienced with kids programs, they struck up a partnership. Since then, hundreds of kids and youth have been introduced to a more active and healthier lifestyle with biking.

  • The 3 friends have spent the past 15 years developing kids programs, fostering relationships with local families, schools, and business partners. They’ve hit the road searching for sponsors who also saw the vision to build a stronger bike culture and who could financially support the programs to remain both sustainable and FREE to youth.

  • In 2023 ABP became an official registered non-profit, we continue to brainstorm new ways of using bikes to mentor youth, grow their skills, and keep our kids active! Watch for new programs coming in 2024.
